Captcha - Make it Easier.

A lot of people complain about Captcha - having to read funny angled letters and typing them into a box.

I like to make it easier - Just CAPITAL Letters and Numbers. Don't use 0 or O or 1 or I as they can get confused.

If you want to make this change just open the /grcaptcha/secureimage.php file and at around line 522 you'll see the characters that can be used. Just amend to suit, EG: all capitals, all capitals plus numbers or even just numbers.

At around Line 521 you can also change the length of characters displayed.

Save the file back to server and changes are there. Remember though, Captcha is there for a reason, don't make it too easy. Consider yout yarget audience and agjust as required.

The GoldRoo directory script uses the CAPTCHA script from http://www.phpcaptcha.org/
The page at http://www.phpcaptcha.org/Securimage...ecurimage.html explains all the different variables in the CAPTCHA image, in case you want to amend the display image like Mike suggests.
